Access believes that the energy and drive of an entrepreneur is a critical factor in the growth of a business. We normally invest for significant minority stakes, and look for structures to ensure alignment of interest with the entrepreneurs. Most of our investments have backed first generation, professionally qualified entrepreneurs.
Access provides patient, long term capital. We endeavour to play an active partnership role with our portfolio companies and look for agreement with the entrepreneur on both, vision and values.
Most of these businesses are among the top 3 players in their fields, often in sunrise or high growth industries. One common thread across our portfolio is that the businesses exhibit strong engagement with their clients – through brands, processes or technology.
